I think my Dear Sir you are so much intrested in the wellfare of your friends that you will be glad to hear we arrived safe in Glasgow last thursday night the Childen bore the Journey very well & are now in high good health & spirits I hope to here the same account of yours when they return from Southamton-Yesterday I had the pleasure of receiving a letter from Mr Watt wrote at Exeter he imagined it woud find me at Brimingham he begs I will let you know that Mr James your correspondent at Bristol has been a bankrupt these 3 months & that he is lookt on by the People there as a very foolish Man he also tells me he left on his table a paper titled dimensions of Sundry Engines by Mr Wilkinson that Paper he orders me to give to Mr. Playfair I cant recolect my taking it off the table if I did it is on the top of Mr Watts desk but I rather Imagine it was taken care of by Mr Henderson-I beg you will send the tea urn that I ordered for my Father by the Newcastle or Edinr Waggon directed for James McGrigor Mercht Glasgow I beg you will offer my Compts to Mr Keir tell him I will be very much obliged to him for the receipt for making the green colour that his Parlour is done with I wont take up any more of your time then to beg you will offer my Compt to Mrs Boltoun & Mrs Keir & that you will beleve me to be your Sincere Frend
