| Description | Dear Friend, With this I send you: An abstract of the attested accounts I delivered to you, dated 2d August 1800. Copy of resolutions of general meetings of my creditors authorising the various proceedings at law. A memorandum shewing part of Mr. Hog's conduct relative to dividends, with some notes of mine thereon. I am much mortified by Mr. Nicholls delaying to send his account. I thank you for the copy of your judicious letter to the noblemen and gentlemen who oppose increasing the tillage of our country. I wish you would give me five more copies that I may send one to Lord Lansdown, to the Dean of Christchurch, and my three grandsons. God bless and preserve [you]. I am ever most gratefully and affectionately your friend, Samuel Garbett The following are with the letter:
'List of debts proved and claimed under the commission of bankrupt[cy] against Samuel Garbett, on which a dividend of one shilling in the pound was declared the 25 Feb. 1786.' 2 Aug. 1800. 2 ff. (This may be the 'abstract of attested accounts' referred to in Garbett' letter, 3 Oct.)
