DescriptionDear Friend,
With this I send you, to keep as a record, a sketch, of which I sent a duplicate to Mr. Hope at Edinburgh on the 19th current. Please to observe the marginal note on the first state, stating that the Company's undivided profits amount to eleven shillings per £ on their capital, and that our stock still remaining is 201 shares at £250 each, £50,250.
I have been daily expecting to hear the decision of the Court of Session on the several points before them, but yesterday I had the mortification to receive a letter from Mr. Hope that the Lords had put off the trial untill the first week of their next session, which commences the 12th May.
I am every most affectionately yours,
Samuel Garbett
