LevelItem
Date17 April 1803
Description[Dated Sunday night.]

Dear Friend,
I shall rejoyce to see you any day, but wish it may be after you have dined.
I think it would be injudicious to oppose the Scots creditors in the choice of a trustee.
I am ever gratefully and affectionately yours,
Samuel Garbett
I believe it would be proper for me to write to Mr. Henderson that I flatter myself no opposition will be given to any person who Douglas Bank, the British Linen Co., and Thistle Bank may propose to succeed Mr. Hog as trustee for the creditors of Francis Garbett & Co. and Charles Gascoigne.
Pray return the enclosed letter and that which I sent a few hours since.
