The bearer, Mr. Drummond, is a very particular friend of mine. He is going to pass a week in your neighbourhood and is anxious to see whatever may be worth his attention. Will you do me the favor to shew him any civilities in your power ? and I shall thankfully acknowledge the obligation.
The subject of canals much engages his attention just at present; if, therefore, you can give him any information on that point, it will be an additional obligation conferr’d on, dear sir, yours sincerely,
