TitleMatthew Robinson Boulton: General Correspondence, N to R. 1787 - 1818
LevelSeries
Date1787 - 1818
DescriptionINTRODUCTION
The contents of this file were formerly in a portfolio (207) entitled:
cAa5 / General / Correspondance
N to R / 1787 to 1818.
Within the portfolio, the documents were arranged in two chronological sequences, as follows:
Letters. (1-160)
Copies, N,O & P. (159-178)
Copies, R. (179-206)
The sets of Copies would each have been contained in a yellow paper wrapper, but these do not survive. Under M. R. Boulton’s scheme of arrangement the file was placed in Box M. III.
In the following List, the copy documents are all press-copies, unless stated otherwise; the summaries in quotation-marks are taken from the contemporary dockets.
The transcripts of Reinhard’s letters were prepared from transcripts made by the Assay Office; time has not permitted the checking of these by collation with the originals. (In making these transcripts, the abbreviations "m" or "n" with a macron, or bar, over the top have been replaced by "mm" and "nn" respectively.) The summaries of these letters in square brackets are taken from the Assay Office Catalogue.

MBP 249 - Numbers 97, 201, 202, & 255 are modern transcripts given numbers within the sequence. Now removed.
