Description(Directed to Johann Christian Wiegleb's.)

My dear Son,
I wrote to you on the 12th, since which I am without any from you. I have also wrote to Mr. Wiglib to day and mention'd the minerals sent to you by way of Hamburg, and desired he will accept of any and all he may think worth a place in his cabinet, and that he will also accept of the only part yet published of Mr. Keir's Dictionary. When you leave Langensalza I beg you will be industrious in the chymical harvest, and don't think any work beneath the dignity of a chymical philosopher-not even mending the fire, pounding in a morter, or blowing the bellows; for I consider it a matter of importance for a young chymist to make all sorts of operations with his own hand, neatly, cleanly, and exactly.
I set out tommorrow morning to meet Mr. Motteux and John [at] Stratford, to look at an estate he is going to purchase. He comes from Bath to meet me, and your sister returns with them, as his daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Barrow are at Bath with their nieces, who are all of your sister's acquaintance, and is the only oportunity I can at present give her of seeing Bath.
Pray let me hear from you soon and often, and give me some account of your operations and chymical doctrins.
Your sister is well and desires her love to you.
Mr. Striber and other Sohohites beg to be kindly remember'd.
I remain, dear Matt, your ever affectionate father,
Mattw. Boulton
