Gentlemen,
I have been favored with your letter of the 25th ultimo containing the terms upon which you offer to supply three hundred tons of copper, one half of the six hundred tons for which the Lords Commissioners of his Majesty’s Treasury have directed a contract ot be prepared with me, with the view of employing such additonal quantity of copper to the extension of the British copper coinage.
I beg to say that your proposals are perfectly agreeable to me, and I engage to purchase from you three hundred tons of copper, of the quality and upon the terms specified in your letter of the 25th ultimo, it being understood that this agreement shall be dependant upon the ratification of the before mentioned contract by the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury.
