Description(2 ff.)
Dear Sir,
I deferr’d replying to your favor of the 14th instant untill I was enabled to communicate to you upon more credible testimony than the assurances of Standley the completion of your order. Three days ago our clerk saw the goods ready to be packed, and I yesterday procured a copy of the Coach Office receipt for the case in which they were forwarded, so that I presume you will not experience any further disappointment.
I am not aware how the aggregate interest of the county of Cornwall can be promoted by the measure to which you refer. No more copper can be taken from the market for the use of the coinage than what will be withheld for that purpose without the contemplated application. The expediency of a further extension of the coinage after the quantity now contracted for is pur into circulation will, I concieve, depend more upon the demand for coin than the price of ores.
I shall not fail to embrace the earliest opportunity of conferring with you upon the subject, and I shall endeavour to have that pleasure within the period you mention.
I remain, dear sir, yours obediently and sincerely,
M. Robinson Boulton
