[Sending for Boulton’s approval a letter he has written ‘in his own French with English endings &c’ to the engraver Dumarest. Walker adds that ‘as Dumarest is no Member of the Academy of Belles Letres it may answer the purpose as well as tho’ dictated by a better proficient. In the Contents ZW has not forgotten to bestow on D[umares]t a sprinkling of that flattery which is absolutely requisite to a Parisian Palate & must not be omitted by any one, supposed to be in the least acquainted with ‘les usages due Pays’.’]
