My dear Sir
I had relied upon seeing you with your gun at Grt Tew this season & I shall be sorry if your . Parisian trip interferes to prevent you joining our party there on the 13 Instt to which date in consequence of the backward state of the Harvest our shooting has been necessarily deferr'd. See if you cannot arrange to let us have your company for a few days before your departure for the continent & favor me with an early line to say we may look for that pleasure. The pedestals are arrived but are not yet unpacked; I doubt not however after your obliging examination & report of them they will be found to answer expectations & pray accept my best thanks for kind interposition on the occasion.
