Dear Sir You have truly anticipated the feelings of deep regret with which I received yesterday Evening you communication of the lamented decease of Mr Weston—tho’ all who have lately witnessed his declining health must have been prepared in some measure for this mournful event, yet reason can inadequately fortify us against the pang inseparable from the loss of an atteched friend of so much worth & excellence. It is some mitigation of it to know that his liefe has been closed admidst the family & that they support the shock with resignation.
