Fenchurch Street 7 Novr 1832 My dear sirs I have had the Pleasure of receiving your Letters of the 2d & 3d inst. and having today had an Interview with Mr G Smith & proposed tomorrow Morng for Mr Palmers meeting me to inspect the Books &c I hope that in my next I shall be able to inform You that he has examined them I apprised Mr Smith of your expectatins after Mr Palmer's Scrutiny and urged them reasonableness and we shall or course have some Communication from him on the resutl, he mentioned however that he was in correspondence with Mr Mosley a Solicitor at Burton upon Trent (and the rest of the Family) as to Mrs M's condition and that he shod. wish to communicate with him first- Mr Stonebridge has been desirous that I shod not take any step with regard to the subject of his Complaint at present as Mrs M's continuance in the House cannot we apprehend now be long-I hope that you will approve my having therefore abstained from the adoption of any Measure on that part of the case hitherto & I remn My dear sirs Your's ever faithfully J Teesdale Messrs M R Boulton J Watt & Co Soho.- |
