The High Bailiff with Mr. Villers Concurrence has fixed the Towns Meeting for Friday—Thursday & Tuesday being public Office days. I rem[ai]n. Dear Sir with high Esteem

Letter. William Evatt (Westminster) to George Simcox (Birmingham). 28 June 1799.
(Franked at London in the name of Pitt, 28 Jun. 1799.)
Sir,
I was in hopes to be favored with your calling upon me as you promised, but understanding you have left this Town—I trouble you with this to request a Settlement of the business as the Office accounts are to be settled next Week, I think you seem to misconceive the business, the £60. 6. 8 is for the Fees due to the Office & the £15. 1. 6 charged for the Expences of Expediting the Copies, is the Money paid by me out of my own pocket & which you & the other Gentlemen promised I should be repaid. As to anything for my extra trouble on this long business—it is a matter intirely optional and I shall submit it intirely to the Gentlemen concerned.
I am Sir Your most Obedt Servt
