DescriptionMy Dear Charmer
With what words can I describe the true State of my Heart, the anxieties of my Mind, & the extream sincerity of my Love for thee; without carrying the appearance of Servile Flattery & Romantic Nonsence. Oh no. my pen & Tongue are insufficient, but time alone will convince thee (what I am afraid thou neither Believest nor Conceivest at present) that my Love & Friendship for thee is greater & Sincerer than ever it was yet, or ever will be, for any Body else. or than anybody elses ever was for thee. Oh my dear my impatience to see thee renders me almost Crazed. nor can I throw my Selfe at thy Feet before Sunday noon—where I hope I shall find a gracious reception. but my Sweet Creature let me beseech thee never to give me a Frown or an unsmooth word for I felt the effects of thy parting Looks for many days even till went my proposed Journey, where I had the good Fortune to meet with the very Gentleman I wanted to see. with whom I spent 2 or 3 Hours & from whose Conversation I Receivd so much Satisfaction that my Heart hath sat Lightly in my Bosom ever since. I haveing nothing now to fear but the Steadiness of thy Love which I pray God to fix on Him that Loves thee best & most & who will ever Subscribe himselfe
Thy Sincere Friend
Thy most Tender Lover
& most affectionate Husband
