DescriptionMy dear Lovely Creature
Pardon my not waiting upon thee on Sunday & impute it not to a coolness in my Love but to the desire I have of long preserving the Freedom of coming where ever thou art & I fear should I come too often thy Brothers countinance will grow too lowrey to be endured but I will not fail coming on Fryday or Sunday next. for know thou dearest Angel that I can as easily live without Breathing as live without thee. a Gentleman whom thou knowest Spent an Evening with me & gave me such a picture of Shewdell that if I wanted to render thee the wretchedst Creature upon Earth I would perswade thee to have him. but I pray God preserve thee for one whose utmost wishes is but to make thee happy & who would sacrifice his Life & all that is valuable to him for thee. If I in any wise offend my Love either in words or deeds only let her consider from what Motive it springs & she will then excuse it Pray God bless thee & preserve thee for thy
Affectionate constant & Loveing Husband
