You must not be angry with me for writing so seldome. I long now most heartily to be at home for I am ten times more hurryed & fateagued here than at home I have yet 150 people to call upon & those at every side of this great City I hope to set out next Sunday & yet I am afraid if I do that I shall leave many things undone that ought to be done. It is needless to give you any acct. of the Sale as I suppose Mr Scale has done that already. Mr Levett & Mr Wm Robinson were there & seemd surprised to find that I had made so great a bussle amongst the Nobility even to such a degree as to stop up Pallmall with Coaches I saw Mrs. Newton there ye Bishops Lady who enquired after you & Miss & desired her Compliments. Le Clares were all there, Miss Spearman & others than enquired after You I was yesterday with the duke of Malborow who gave me some impressions of his Gems I was also with my Lord Chesterfield Who caused me to see his fine house all over & shewd me much respect I have to day been with Lady Bute, Lady Charlott Burgoin, Lady Charlott Seymore the Honbl. Mr Granvill, Lord Clan Brazil besides sundry other Visits amongst Commoners I drank Tea wth Mr Tyson & got him to promise to give a Vote to Motteux whose Election for East India Director comes on tomorrow so that I am now much tired
I will not forgett my little Maids Bu bonne god bless her as well as her Mamma whom I wish good night & am her truly Affectionate
