Sir, By desire of Mr Boulton I write to make enquiry if the process of investigating the Accounts of the Tradesmen employ’d at Miss Boulton’s House has now reach’d the point of completion? if so Mr Boulton will be glad to receive the final report of your survey, as the Parties are anxious to have the accounts closed. On the 25 of March last I sent you, by order of Mr Boulton, 5 Drawings, or Sketches, of Chimney Pieces, some of which were borrow’d & the Person to whom they belong is importunate to have them return[’d;] permit me therefore to request that you will have the goodness to send them soon as possible, to Mr Chippindall in Salisbury Square, sealed up & directed for Matthew Boulton Soho House.
