Date22 Feb 1810
DescriptionHas consulted Mr. Rogers—“our wholesale woollen draper”—on the value of the enclosed patterns of cloths. Rogers says he would not supply similar cloths by the piece at any time in the last six months for less than 30s. a yard, i.e. of broad cloth. One of the patterns is cut from a piece of kerseymere “which runs narrow” and is worth only 10s. a yard. The “single pattern” Rogers valued at between 22 and 29s. a yard. (The patterns of cloths are not present.)
