| Description | M. R. Boulton is “ill-suited” in his present gardener and has advertised again for a new one. An application for the position has been received from William Oakes, presently in the service of Joseph Foster, a calico printer of Bromley. Boulton believes Woodward passes near that place in his way to and from town, and asks him to make suitable inquiries. Cheshire gives details of Oakes’s history, and sends a memorandum (not present) of the inquiries to be made. |
