We wrote to you last post, & agreeable to our promise have now to acquaint you, that Mr. Stephenson had a very restless night, & finds himself very languid & weak today—he is no better, nor on the other hand is he at all worse—he continues unable to pass his water—the Doctors therefore were under the necessity of relieving him this morning, by the operation before performed, & intend to repeat it again in the course of the evening—as the retention of the water occasions him great agony, when any quantity is collected—we will visit him tomorrow & inform you how we find him—interim remain most truly
