/1 'That's Another Story'. A programme on storytelling and language. Previous titles for this programme were 'The Rain in Spain', 'Spellbinders', and 'Ring of Words'. It compared literary storytellers such as Algernon Blackwood and A J Alan with traditional storytellers of N E Scotland and the Shetland Isles.
/2 'You Must Just Tell Queen Victoria'. A comparison of the evidence given by children to the Child Employment Commission of 1842 and the language of Disraeli and Lord Ashley reporting it to Parliament. The original evidence was re-written and spoken by people from Northern England living in the same coal-mining areas as those who gave the original evidence.
