The bundle also contains agreements dated 26th September 1923 and 8th June 1925 between the Secretary of State for the Colonies and the Children's Emigration Homes, Birmingham, regarding the terms under which grants will be allocated, statements relating to grant claims, minutes of a meeting of representatives of voluntary societies held at the Overseas Settlement Office on 10th February 1925 concerning the British Oversea Settlement Delegation to Canada 1924 and typed notes of interviews with Mr. McCall from Dr. Barnardo's Homes and Mr. W.R. Little, Director of Canadian Immigration, London concerning new restrictions on the age of children emigrated to Canada. Some children are named in these papers. |
