- section labelled 'Mr. Paul Cadbury' containing correspondence between Mr. Robert Plenderleith and Paul Cadbury on the subject of a proposed babies' home at Selly Oak. Also copies of letters from Mr. Paul Cadbury to Gordon Green (Secretary of Fairbridge Farm Schools), to Lord Kenilworth (Vice Chairman of Fairbridge Farm Schools) and to Charles Hambro (Chairman of Fairbridge Farm Schools) on the subject of the Middlemore Homes (sent to Mr. Plenderleith for information) 15 June 1937 - 08 July 1937
- section labelled 'Fairbridge Farm Schools' containing correspondence between Mr. Robert Plenderleith and representatives of the Fairbridge Farm Schools Incorporated, principally Mr. Gordon Green, Secretary of the organisation. The correspondence discusses arrangements for the care of children within the Middlemore Homes and babies' home and for the emigration of children to Canada and Australia through Fairbridge Farm Schools. Some medical information relating to individual [named] children and information on psychological (IQ) test results is included. 03 January 1938 - 31 December 1938
- section labelled 'Canadian Home' containing correspondence between Mr. Robert Plenderleith and Mrs. Ellen Ray concerning the management and finances of the Canadian Home at Fairview and correspondence and newscuttings concerning the death of Mr. W.H. Studd, auditor for the Middlemore Homes in Canada. 22 February 1937 - 15 September 1938
- a typed copy of particulars included in a schedule submitted to the Home Office by the Middlemore Homes under the Children and Young Persons Act, dated 21 October 1937 and three letters from the Home Office acknowledging receipt of correspondence from the Middlemore Homes. 21 October 1937 - 08 November 1938
- correspondence with the City of Birmingham Public Health department relating to inspection of the home under the Public Health Act 1936, section 219, together with lists of children under the age of 9 within the Middlemore Homes. 10 February 1938 - 11 October 1938
