| Description | Formed on the 26th February 1935 for mutual assistance and extension work, the first meeeting was held at the house of George Cadbury Junior. Its aim was to assist weaker schools, seek opportunites to open new schools, provide channels through which more established schools could support less successful schools, and exchange information relating to the methods of running the schools. The committee was made up of representatives from each school in the Worcester Sub-Union and Class XIV, and also included male representatives from 'mixed schools'. The Committee was financed by grants from the Sub-Union Executive Committee.
The front of the volume contains loose inserts which consist of attendance sheets for committee members. A number of pages have been pulled out of the volume at some point prior to coming into the custody of Birmingham Archives & Collections and are now inserted at the rear of the volume. |
