| Description | In July 1893, it was agreed that the Midland Adult Sunday School Association be re-organised into sub-districts for administrative purposes and to foster a greater sense of community spirit. These were District I Birmingham and Aston; District II West Bromwich, Oldbury and Smethwick; District III Wolverhampton & Walsall with extension towards the North West and Stafford; District IV Dudley, Kidderminster with extension towards the South West. These were later known as Worcester, Mid-Warwick, West Bromwich, Smethwick, Walsall Tipton, Dudley and Wolverhampton Sub-Unions.
Records have only been deposited for Dudley, Mid-Worcestershire and Class XIV Sub-Union and Smethwick Sub-Union. See collection level record MS 703 for a list of the other District Sub-Unions which existed. |
