DescriptionA committee was appointed by the Quarterly Meeting on 24 March 1943 to consider 'the betterment of meetings'. It was re-appointed as the Extension Committee on 22 January 1944. Friends were appointed to the committee by nomination from the Quarterly Meeting and from the Monthly Meetings. Its main function was to support and strengthen meetings across the region, in particular the smaller ones. This it did through activities such as arranging general meetings in outlying areas of the Quarterly Meeting on a rotational basis, publishing and distributing to every member of the Quarterly Meeting a 'Quarterly Meeting Review' containing items of interest, organising talks, opportunities for worship and bible study and other activities, visiting meetings at their request, organising public meetings to attract new members and so on.

Extension Committee reports and accounts, 1960 - 1964 excluding 1961, can be found at SF/1/10/4.
