| Description | A committee was appointed by the Quarterly meeting on 27 September 1947 to consider the sale of Long Compton meeting house. The Preparative Meeting, which began in 1661, was discontinued in 1830 and the meeting house (built in 1670), was first sold in 1859. In 1869, the Religious Society of Friends purchased it again. It was finally sold in 1949. |
