| Description | Official membership lists were introduced from 1837, in the form of printed books, although some meetings also produced their own local lists (e.g. see Bull Street meeting membership lists in SF/3/4/9). They contain the names and contact details of all members and attenders (those who regularly attend meetings for worship without being a member) for each Preparative Meeting within the Quarterly Meeting. Each list is arranged by Monthly Meeting, and within each Monthly Meeting, by Preparative or allowed meeting and then each member is listed in alphabetical order. The membership lists are preceded by information relating to the dates and location of the Quarterly Meetings and Monthly Meetings for that year, lists of the officers of the Monthly Meetings and lists of elders and overseers for each meeting. A name index is included at the back of each year's list, as well as lists of Young Friends Meetings, First Day Evening Meetings, First Day Schools for Children, Adult Schools in the Midland Adult Union and additional meetings.
