DescriptionBurlington Hall, located in Aston, was held in trust for Burlington Street Aston Early Morning School and was used for adult school classes and other activities. The Adult School ceased to exist in the mid 1940s but in June 1944 a Committee was formed by the Friends Relief Service, the Midland Adult School Union and Warwickshire Monthly Meeting with the provisional name Burlington Hall Management Committee. The Committee managed the premises of Burlington Hall as a centre for social and educational work and an attached cottage as a residence for staff running the Centre. The Hall later became known as Burlington Hall Neighbourhood Centre.

A Compulsory Purchase Order in 1970-71 meant that the building became the property of the Corporation of Birmingham, and the work of the Burlington Hall Management Committee was taken over by the City Education Department who also became responsible for the management and finances of the new Centre. The final meeting of the Trustees was in c. 1970 (date not given). A report from the Management Committee dated 1944 details some of the activities provided by the centre. This is included with the Trustees' minutes.
