| Description | In 1926 Worcester Monthly Meeting felt it was no longer able to oversee the maintenance of the meeting house at Alcester which had been converted into a cottage. Warwickshire North Monthly Meeting wanted to maintain some Quaker presence in the town so approached Worcester Monthly Meeting which decided it would lease the property to Warwickshire North Monthly Meeting for a period of 20 years. The cottage continued to be rented out to tenants and a weekly adult school was held there. Amy E. Sturge and her sisters were involved in supporting this work. |
