| Description | The Holly Bush Trust was established by Henry Richardson, of Passaic, New Jersey, USA via a conveyance upon Trust of a property in Grove Lane, Smethwick in July 1909, with the intention that the Trustees should use the property for religious, educational, philanthropic, charitable or benevolent purposes for the benefit of those living in the area. The Trustees were William Arthur Albright, William Tangye, John Glaisyer, Gerad B. Lloyd, Samuel Ashford, and Joseph Parsons. Known as the Holly Bush Sunday School and Mission Hall, it hosted a Children's Sunday School, a Young Men's Adult School, the Temperance Cadets and the Girls Life Brigade. From 1933, arranging suitable tenants and undertaking the maintenance and repair of the premises was managed by the Friends Sunday School Union, on behalf of the Trustees.
