| Description | This was an umbrella committee which undertook activities in a wide range of areas and in collaboration with a number of other organisations. These include mental health, housing for the elderly, penal affairs, prison visiting, care of prisoners families, Amnesty International, political prisoners, disabled children and children with learning disabilities, hospital visiting and hospital management, Friends Temperance and Moral Welfare Union, holidays for children, work camps, play groups, Councils of Churches, Christian Aid, general community work, education and medical aid in developing countries, multi-racial community work, housing for immigrants, nurseries, teaching English, religious education, conservation, peace work, marriage guidance, meals-on-wheels, Child Poverty Action Group, Citizens Advice Bureau, Scouts, Guides etc.
