| Description | The bundle includes a number of printed publications and programmes, including orders of service, church magazines and printed publications from other organisations, churches and ministries. Items of interest include a Victoria & Albert Museum publication entitled 'Christmas Picture Book' (London: Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1949), showing a list of photographic images of items narrating the Nativity Story from the museum's collections; a programme for '"Grandpa Sees It Through". A Comedy in 4 Acts by John Taylor', performed by the Old Meeting Players on Saturday, 17 December 1938 and Monday, 19 December 1938; three copies of 'The Free Catholic. The Monthly Organ of the Free Catholic Movement', May 1922, February 1927 and April 1927; order of service held at a Conference on Christian Politics, Economics and Citizenship at Birmingham, 5 - 12 April 1924. Since the papers originally comprised one loose bundle, with the original deposit MS 941 comprising material relating mainly to the Old Meeting Church Sunday Schools, the bundle has been catalogued as miscellaneous Sunday School material here and retained in its original order. The majority of the bundle comprises draft handwritten agendas, minutes and reports relating to the Sunday Schools Committee and Guild (see UC 1/11/2 above). |
