| Description | It is unclear when the Old Meeting Ladies' Benevolent Society was instituted. The surviving accounts book would suggest that it was founded along similar lines of similar bodies appointed by the New Meeting House and Church of the Messiah, Birmingham (see UC 2), namely to provide assistance and relief to poorer local families and children attending Sunday Schools. |
