| Title | Letter from Mr Henry Bell, Gray's Inn, London to Mr Thomas Lee in Birmingham |
| Level | Item |
| Date | 07/02/1792 |
| Description | Mr Bell advises Mr Lee that Mr Coates's case should be delayed because of problems with the evidence concerning intended and actual damage to his property. The majority of the rest of the letter discusses Mr Holbach's concerns outlined in letter UC 2/15/9/29. He rejects Mr Holbach's opinion that there are only three good counsels on the Worcestershire Circuit and points to the difficulties raised by relinquishing one of their counsel. He further argues that their friendship with Mr Holbach has not resulted in their case being strengthened in any way. |
