| Title | Letter from Mr Henry Bell, Gray's Inn, London to Mr Thomas Lee in Birmingham |
| Level | Item |
| Date | 20/03/1792 |
| Description | Mr Bell is particularly worried about the evidence in Dr Priestley's case. He asks again whether Mr Erskine should be retained warning that Mr Erskine is retained at the Surrey assizes with three or four briefs. It is also possible that Mr Erskine will require 300 guineas for his services. Mr Bell requests information on the earliest Warwick trial dates and copies of the briefs so Mr Erskine could be prepared before the trial. Other topics of discussion are the presence of Mr Wyatt at the trials and the surveyors appointed after the 1780 riots for the Hundred. |
