In 1903 this committee merged with the General Purposes Committee, and was reconstituted as the Finance and General Purposes Committee. Its remit was virtually identical to the Birmingham City Council Finance Committee (ref: BCC 1/AH/1) and General Purposes Committee (ref: BCC 1/AG) and members of the public should refer to the catalogue records for these for more detailed description of the main functions of this type of committee. |
