AdminHistoryThe House Sub-Committee was appointed in June 1850, and consisted of the Mayor and five other members. Its purpose was to consider the rules and regulations of the Winson Green Asylum and then act as house committee for the administration, operation and procedural running of the Asylum. It was not re-appointed after December 1853, presumably as this function was carried out by the main committee, although another sub-committee was appointed in 1881 (see BCC/1/AF/4 Winson Green Sub-Committee minutes).
