Minutes BCC/1/AG/31/1/3 are in the volume entitled 'General Purposes (Overspill Sub) Cttee', with no title on the spine. The minutes include lists of planning applications for homes and industrial developments granted and refused, lists of available housing in overspill areas such as Daventry (in the process of renewed expansion during the 1970s), the Housing Manager's reports regarding the Overspill Register, correspondence with MPs and parliamentary bodies, as well as associated plans, financial information and correspondence. Some of the reports relate to other parts of the United Kingdom, and include comparative statistics relating to the rate of overspill, demographic change etc in these areas and Birmingham itself. |
