| Description | The minutes are printed and signed by the committee chairman. The minutes are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/AG/37/1). The minutes include the reports of the Medical Officer of Health, including those relating to Health Centres in 'Twilight Areas'), including appendixes containing statistics relating to birth and death rates for each area of the city, and the reports of the Housing Manager which detail figures relating to rehousing cases, including a report on housing and general living conditions in the Sparkbrook area dated 28 September 1961 (interleaved after the minutes for the meeting of 16 October 1963 - see BCC/1/AG/33/1/4), with notes from a joint meeting of representatives of the Health, Housing and Public Works Committee as to the treatment of this area of the city. The minutes do not just relate to housing conditions, but also other methods employed to tackle social exclusion, such as the provision of youth clubs and services, parks and other leisure facilities, and compliment the minutes of the Parks Committee, Youth Services Sub-Committee of the Education Committee and the like. |
