| AdminHistory | The Parks Sub-Committee was appointed to examine issues regarding the parks, gardens and recreation grounds element of the Committee. These issues included staffing and recruitment, wages, advertising, park design, facilities and events, new parks, security, rules and regulations. The sub-committee would supply quarterly accounts to the Committee. Although there are no Park Sub-Committee minute books prior to 1899, the first sub-committee was certainly appointed by 1864. In 1911 a Parks Committee was established in its own right (see BCC 1/BO). |
