There are also reports on the employment of ex-servicemen and unemployed civilians on public works schemes (see minutes of meeting of 19 December 1919, minute 657a, in BCC/1/AM/10/1/2). Additionally, there is some correspondence between the Council and the Bournville Village Trust, who were beginning to work in partnership with the Council on numerous municipal housing schemes and provided guidance and financial assistance where necessary. Birmingham Archives and Heritage service holds the records the Bournville Village Trust (see MS 1536) and its patrons, the Cadbury family (see MS 466).
