| Description | Bundle title from schedule of deeds deposited with at Birmingham City Council Town Clerk's Department then received by Birmingham Reference Library in 1955. The bundle includes numerous abstracts of the title and supplementary documentation. The schedules of deeds that correspond to these documents appear to have separated the deeds into separate files of documents relating to specific properties / owners (e.g. 8606-8650 dated 1721 - 1847; 8651-8681 dated 1721 - 1831; etc) but the actual street addresses are not named. As Dale End fell within the broad area of the Borough Improvement Scheme, 1875, it is likely the deeds relate to property acquired by the Council after the instigation of that scheme, as part of its remit to improve or demolish properties and streets that fell in this geographical area. |
