| Description | Some minute volumes indexed. The minutes are handwritten and typescript and signed by the committee Chairman. The minutes dated before March 1894 are missing (see BCC/1/AO/4/1/1). Minutes BCC/1/AO/4/1/2 - 3 are in the plain, dark red, untitled minute volumes. There is a significant gap in the minute coverage between May 1895 and November 1923 (see BCC/1/AO/4/1/4). Minutes BCC/1/AO/4/1/5 appear to be copies, and are in the volume entitled 'Works Sub-Committee', which also includes three copies of the Duddeston and Nechells Redevelopment Area Report by the City Engineer dated 7 May 1943. As Birmingham City Archives currently holds very few records for this sub-committee, it is advisable to check the main committee minutes for sub-committee reports. The minutes for the Plans Sub-Sub-Committee are in their own volumes, entitled 'Plans Sub-Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/AO/4/1/6 - 8). These minutes are in the volumes entitled 'Plans Sub-Sub-Committee'. |
