| Description | The map is based on the Ordnance Survey reproduced on folded cloth in an untitled green volume, with a label bearing the above title. The coloured sections (pink, yellow and blue) are sections referred to in the Oldbury Gas Order, 1934, principally Section 3. The map has been countersigned by W. Palmer, Assistant Secretary at the Board of Trade, the General Manager of Birmingham Corporation Gas Department, and Joseph Poulson, Gas Engineer, Oldbury Gas Department. The Oldbury Gas Order relates to an agreement entered into by Birmingham Council with Smethwick and Oldbury Corporations at the end of 1931 for the exchange of supply areas between the Smethwick, Oldbury and Birmingham gas undertakings so as to straighten the gas boundary lines at Warley.
