| AdminHistory | In July 1910 the Special Schools Sub-Committee resolved that a small After Care Employment Sub-Committee be appointed primarily to help find employers willing to take on deaf boys between the ages of 14 - 16 years for part time private instruction rather than placing them in the Education Committee’s Manual Centres. The remit of the sub-committee included trying to find employment for children leaving the Schools for the Deaf and schools for the physically ill, cases referred from the After Care Sub-Committee and girls on the records of the Cripples’ Union. It is unclear when the sub-committee stopped meeting. |
