Reference to St Joseph's Homes in volume 135 but the information recorded are statistics provided by the Mother Superior. Names of the children are not recorded, presumably because the Education Census records were compiled by Attendance Officers and the attendance of children in homes would be the responsibility of the individual home, or would be more closely monitored as standard. |
