AdminHistoryThe Finance Sub-Committee was formed at the same time as the main Distress Committee in 1905 to carry out the provisions of the Unemployed Workmen’s Act, in so far as to relating to the expenses of the Distress Committee, the management of its funds, the receiving of contributions and donations (government grants for example), the collection and payment of moneys and accounts and the compilation and submission to audit of all accounts.
