AdminHistoryThe Emigration Sub-Committee was formed in November 1906, and renamed the Migration Sub-Committee in February 1929. Originally, the sub-committee had several sub-sub-committees as it was delegated with the wide responsibilities to advise the main committee on the policy and financial assistance required on matters of emigration, mainly to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the USA, and the removal and resettlement to other parts of Great Britain for the unemployed.
